One of my besties, and long time friend came home to visit, so after some lifting we stopped in at the Carmel Diner to make up for calories lost.

We ordered coffee, which is complimentarily refilled, to eat plain Belgium Waffle - crunchy sweet, and delicious ; Blueberry Pancakes- loaded with blueberries.

Everything was exactly what we needed, our waiter was gracious, and everything totaled to about $10 each.

Definitely a family friendly, late night, local centric spot for grub.

It's a diner, so I got my usual order of broiled rainbow trout and roast stuffed duckling.

I'm sorry friend...I lied just there. I didn't order either of those things, and I don't know why this diner or any other diner has these things on the menu. I truly wonder whether or not they actually have ducklings back there, how long they've sat there, and who ordered the last one.

It's a diner. You want breakfast foods, chicken fingers, burgers, grilled cheese, or fried appetizers. If you have an option when it comes to fries, go with the curly fries. Honey mustard beats barbecue sauce here, but get both and see for yourself. If you are feeling really frisky, get some Greek food, but only if they actually seem Greek.

Our waitress handled our table of 15 with aplomb, and they didn't screw up my grilled cheese. That's about all you can ask for.

P.S. The chicken fingers don't say it, but they come with fries. Which means you should ask for curly fries.

    Garbage
    From food to service

U walk in and the place is like something out of a bad movie

U sit and u WAIT for someone
And AGAIN u wait for your tasteless food
And if u are thirsty slowly sip your drink because no one comes back to ask if you need a refill
Rugs are filthy & the place is outdated

We stopped in for breakfast and I ordered an egg and cheese omelet and my husband had the french toast.  The omelet was huge!  Way too much to finish. Portions are very generous. It was made well and arrived warm.  My husband's french toast was a little overcooked on the bottom (a bit burnt). One big plus is the they give you a full mug of coffee rather than a small coffee cup.  Prices are average
Staff is friendly and the diner is clean.
